As Will always says, “The ability and effects of technology always far outpaces the understanding of those who implement it ™”. We are, in most instances, our own worst enemy when it comes to privacy.
Having important conversations in a public place, answering phone calls in the presence of others, installing apps on smart devices from unknown or trusted sources. We also open our doors and allow the intruders in without a question.
Today there are a myriad of high tech devices that people have been enticed to adopt in their lives. Examples of the overt devices are things like the Amazon Echo, Google Home, Alexa, Arlo, and More. Add that to alarm systems that are now offering “remote listening” capabilities and of course the ubiquitous baby room monitor, now complete with both video and audio, constantly streamed to the cloud and accessible from any web browser.
